Ever struck a line before that appears to clash with a context? It may be hard to believe, however every line within a scene was specifically intended by the author, so it’s entirely up to the actor to consider how the line can still work, but, in a different context. It is interesting to note that many actors will attempt to change the line in order to fit the context, instead of shifting their perspective to make the line work, what ever the context. The line should never be changed, only the actors perception behind which the line could be interpreted.
